Arrive by land from the plane or ferry, or sail in. Glenfern Sanctuary is located on the
water at Port Fitzroy with our own wharf, two moorings and beautiful anchorage.

The predator-fenced Sanctuary is filled with native birdlife, including tui, kereru, kaka parrots, black petrel and brown teal. You may even get a glimpse of the rare chevron skink, found only on Aotea and Little Barrier. In late the afternoon, you can stroll to sunset rock for stunning 360-degree views of Port Fitzroy Harbour or walk down through the gardens to jetty at the water’s edge.
